Dr. Rajiv Agarwal is Principal Director & Unit Head-Cardiology at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. He is a former Associate Professor of Cardiology at AIIMS. He was formerly Director Cardiac Catheterization Labs and Senior Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at the Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre, New Delhi.

Dr Rajiv is a graduate of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi (1985) and did MD Medicine (1988) and DM Cardiology (1991) from the same institution. He did Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA in 1993.

He is Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and also Fellow of Society for Coronary Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI).

He has a special interest in coronary interventions, pacemakers and devices, and valvuloplasty. He has numerous research publications in national and international journals.
